Well, friends, 2 weeks from today the adventure begins! I am excited, nervous, and mostly prepared!
With on-line and off-line donations, we are currently at $4,200,
84% of our goal!!!
Special thanks to all of you who have prayed for me, donated to the cause, encouraged me and cared!
A VERY SPECIAL thank you to the wonderful people who have donated the equipment that will be the heart of our new dental clinic!
Mrs. Janet King, from Port St. Joe
Mr. R. Michael Hill, from Panama City
Mr. Dave Albright, from Panama City
Dr. Jim Grimes, from Enterprise, AL
Thanks to Terrell Magee and Kenny Barnes of Aadvantage North American for arranging to take the equipment to Mobile next week!
Please continue your prayers! God has continued to bless and to show me open doors concerning this project!!
Blessings and Peace to you all in the Name of our dear Lord!

Honduras Dental Mission
Paving the Way to Healthy Smiles
"Seeing children that I have grown to know and love cover their young faces with their hands when they smile because their teeth are ruined by poor diet, poor dental hygiene, and lack of dental care has inspired me to work to make a difference in their lives by helping to provide a place where they can come and receive treatment and care, and see God's love in action!" ~Ron Mashburn

Six Weeks Out!!
On this Sunday, Palm Sunday, I am blessed and thankful for the way my church family has reached out to me with words of support and encouragement! This coming week will be very important, as major donations of dental equipment and supplies still hang in the balance. Please pray that the correct calls are made, and that in the next two weeks we are able to secure solid commitments to provide the needed equipment.
Thank you for visiting the site, and for taking the time to read this. Thank you.

Equipment
Hi, everyone, thanks for stopping by!
This week my goal is to locate the rest of the equipment I will need for the clinic, and make arrangements to collect it, send it to Mobile, and arrange a date for shipment to Honduras! I have found that there are many sources for good used dental equipment, online clearing houses and organizations that will work with me to secure the needed equipment. Sometimes the internet is a wonderful tool, and I am grateful to Dr. Weitekamp and others who have directed me in my search for the best possible donated equipment.
I am finding that the greatest obstacle to the success of my mission is.........procrastination!! Yes, those of you who suffer from it as I do know what I mean, don't you?! It is so easy to focus on tomorrow, or next week, or next month, to say to yourself, "I have plenty of time!".
Is it fear of failure? Is it fear of success? We all know the joy that is found in accomplishing a task we set out to do. So.....I am going for that joy. Will it be perfect? No. Will I feel like I could have done more? Probably. But with God's blessing and your help, this dental clinic WILL be a reality.
More on that...later :)
Thank you for reading this far, I know if you are reading this that you
are someone important in my life and in this mission.
I'll be in touch!

Smilin'
Hello, everyone! Being a new blogger, I am not sure of all the protocol, but I am rarely at a loss for words, so here goes!
When Barry Haggerty and Joe Hamrick dragged me kicking and screaming down to Honduras in 2005, I had no idea what a significant journey that trip would be the beginning of! Six years and eight trips later, Honduras seems like a second home to me and the people there a part of my family.
Where would you go if you believed God was in it? What would you do to help those in need around the world? Someone recently said to me, "I wish I could afford to do something like that!". I replied, "My friend, if God is calling you to whatever or wherever, you can't afford NOT to!"
The process now is prayer, preparation and fund raising. I am locating and securing dental equipment and supplies to send over ahead of my trip. I am preparing my business to be without me for three months. I am arranging for worship leadership to continue at Forest Park seamlessly. I am praying, and I am thanking God for this opportunity!
Please join me in prayer, or hop on the plane and go with me if you feel led to! And if you can't go...feel free to "chip in"!!
Thanks for reading my blog.....if you made it this far I know you will be a part of my dream team!
Later!
